We’re excited to welcome you to BNGP’s new online grant portal. Our hope is to provide you with one place to see open funding opportunities, apply for grants, access past applications, see award letters/agreements, and complete grant reports. Please note that application and award information for BNPG grants prior to 2024 is not available.
If you have any questions or need tech support, please reach out to us using the form at the very bottom of this page.
Getting Started
Frequently Asked Questions
I applied for a BNGP grant in 2023 or 2024. Do I already have an account?
If you were the primary contact for your organization’s application, yep! Executive directors/primarily leaders from 2023 applications (but not 2024 applications) are also already in the system.
If not, follow these instructions to create an account.
Can multiple people from my organization create an account?
Yep! You can have as many people from your organization in the grant portal as you’d like. When a cycle opens, the person who starts the application will also need to submit it. They’ll be able to add others from your organization as collaborators to work on an application together. Others from your organization will only be able to see and edit an application if they’re invited using the collaborator function on the application.
My organization applied for a past grant with the Basic Needs Giving Partnership. Why don’t I see it in my portal?
Applications submitted before 2024 are not available in the grant portal. For Letters of Intent or applications submitted in the 2024 multi-year cycle, the information has been imported into the new system.
If you don’t see a 2024 LOI/application, it may be because grant applications are only visible to the person who started the application (the primary contact) and those they directly share it with via the portal (collaborators). Other people registered under the same organization won’t be able to see that application unless they’re added to it.
If you’re the primary contact and still don’t see your 2024 LOI/application or would like to add other members of your organization to an application, or if the primary contact at your organization has changed, please reach out to us using the form at the very bottom of this page.
I was the primary contact for a grant application in 2023 or 2024. I’m with the same organization, but my email address or name has changed. Do I need to create a new account?
Nope! Just reach out to us using the form at the very bottom of this page. We’ll update the email address or/and name on your account and get you logged in.
I was the primary contact for a grant application in 2023 or 2024, but I’ve left that organization. Do I need to create a new account?
Yes. Accounts are based on email addresses. If you were the primary contact on an application in 2023 or 2024 but have since moved to a different organization, please use the account creation instructions to register as a new user with your new email address.
Can I be the primary point of contact for more than one organization’s grant application?
Yes. However, you’ll need a separate portal account for each organization. Each email address/portal account can only be associated with a single organization. So, if you’re registered as [email protected], you’ll only be able to use that account to start an application for Org 1.
If you need to start an application for a second organization, you can follow the account creation instructions to sign up under another organization by using a different email address.
You can also be invited to collaborate on another organization’s application, so if someone else at Org 2 starts the application and then invites [email protected] to collaborate, you can help write the application that way.
If you have any questions, please email us using the form at the very bottom of this page.
I tried to create a new account, but I got an error saying “a user matching the information you entered already exists.” What do I need to do?
Follow the steps to activate an existing account. When you do so, if you don’t receive a password reset email (check your spam/junk folder!), reach out to us and we’ll sort it out.
